- Kathy - for her mother Mary who has lost both of her legs and is having various issues with the current nursing home
- Phil - for his family who are struggling to make ends meet
- Connie - for her daughter Shelley who is having a tough time with her marriage
- Celeste - for her father Louie who is having colon cancer surgery
- Patrick - for her sister Amy and her son Eric who have both had many people in their life pass away, and as a result Amy is feeling quite lonely
